A tradition of excellence

Our story begins in 1870 when Wilhelm Schickel, an architect trained at the Beaux Arts in Paris, arrived in New York from Wiesbaden, Germany. During his American career he designed over 300 buildings. Sixty of these buildings still remain in New York City, many bearing the Historic Landmark medallion.

Wilhelm's many descendents include architects, artists, developers and contractors ... builders all, and sharers of the dream that endures. Since 1985, Bruno Schickel and a highly skilled team of craftsmen carry on this tradition.
